About Karen

Karen Le is a graphic designer based in Mississauga, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario (UWO) with a degree in the Bachelor of Arts in Business Management & Organizational Studies (BMOS), specializing in Consumer Behaviour.

With a strong passion for the visual arts and a background in marketing, her career began as a freelance graphic designer. Since then she has completed projects for various clients. Karen specializes in marketing and advertising design, as well as web design. She is also familiar with publishing design and illustration. Her toolbox is armed with expertise in Adobe software including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign helps her get the job done.

She currently works as the Junior Graphic Designer at MAD Elevator Inc., an elevator fixture and interior manufacturer. Her day-to-day tasks include designing marketing materials such as a variety of brochures, print and digital ads and graphics for social media. She is also responsible for creating realistic elevator fixtures and cab interior renderings for clients, MAD Elevator’s unique online configurator and other graphic needs of the company.

During her free time, she works as a freelance copywriter and designer for independent marketing firms on a project-to-project basis. This entails writing SEO-friendly content for client web pages, creating graphics for various social media platforms and advertising campaigns.

Karen also has experience as a designer working at the UWO Publications and Communications Department. As a digital communications director, she designed brochures, posters, e-newsletters and other materials used to communicate with UWO staff and students.

As a passionate artist and eager to continue learning, Karen is ready for any challenge.
